Policies on content featuring firearms
Our top priority is the safety of our creators, viewers, and partners. We rely on each of you to assist us in safeguarding this unique and vibrant community. It's critical that you understand our Community Standards and how they contribute to our shared responsibility of keeping Supernova safe. Please read the following policy carefully.
Supernova does not allow content that is intended to sell firearms, instruct viewers on how to make firearms, ammunition, or certain accessories, or instruct viewers on how to instal those accessories. Supernova should not be used to sell any of the following firearms or accessories. Content that features someone holding, handling, or transporting a firearm are also prohibited on Supernova.
What does this mean to you?
If you want to do one or more of the following, don't post content on Supernova:
- Make direct sales of firearms or certain firearms accessories (e.g., private sales by individuals) or provide links to sites that sell these items. These add-ons could include:
- Accessories that allow a firearm to fire in an automatic mode
Bump stocks, gatling triggers, drop-in auto sears, and conversion kits are examples of accessories that convert a firearm to automatic fire.
- Magazines or belts with a capacity of more than 30 rounds.
- Give instructions on how to make any of the following:
- Weapons,
- munitions,
- Magazines with a large capacity
- Silencers/suppressors made at home
- Accessories that allow a firearm to fire in an automatic mode
Bump stocks, gatling triggers, drop-in auto sears, and conversion kits are examples of accessories that convert a firearm to automatic fire.
- Include instructions for converting a firearm to automatic or simulated automatic firing mode.
- Describes how to put the above-mentioned accessories or modifications in place.
Please keep in mind that this is not an exhaustive list.
Here are some examples of prohibited content on Supernova:
- Links to sites selling firearms or the accessories mentioned above in the title or description of your content. You may link to websites that discuss or review these products as long as those websites do not sell them directly.
- Putting a firearm on display with the intention of selling it privately. Giving the seller's phone number, email address, or other contact information is an example of this.
- Providing users with step-by-step instructions for completing the fabrication of a firearm's lower receiver.
- Demonstrating how to make a silencer out of a flashlight, an oil can, a solvent catcher, or other components.
- Demonstrating how to instal a bump stock or a similar accessory that allows for simulated automatic fire.
- Live streams in which someone is holding or handling a firearm, whether or not they are firing it. This does not apply to video games with firearms.
- Live streams of people transporting firearms from one location to another, such as carrying them or travelling with them in a car, truck, or other vehicle. This does not apply to video games with firearms.
Please keep in mind that these are just a few examples, and you should not post content if you believe it violates this policy.
What happens if content is found to be in violation of the policy?
If your content is found to be in violation of this policy, we will remove it and notify you via email. If this is your first violation of our Community Guidelines, you will receive a warning and your Account will not be penalised. If it isn't, we'll give you a warning. Your Account will be terminated if you receive three strikes.
